It issituated 45 km south east of Gilgit on the Karakoram Highway. It is located at the junction of three mountain ranges, the Kurrakuram, Hindukush, and Himalayas.

In the month of March 2018, the TKC (The Karakorum Club) started a prize theme and asked people to share their stories that go decades back into the history of traveling and exploring. Those were all good stories, the stories which should not be limited to the theme. The purpose of sharing these some of the stories which all liked to remember for a long time. A Drive to Hunza in April

Driving to Hunza via Karakoram Highway is a wonderful experience for someone who is keen to explore. Driving this route, one experiences the diverse nature the country possess. Among the many, there are Plain lands of Hassanabdal, Pine jungles of Chattar Plains, Tea gardens of Shinkiari, Green Hills of Kohistan, Fresh springs in Shangla, Rugged mountains of Chilas, Snowy mountains of Hunza, The Mighty Indus River, the Attabad Lake, Glacier of Passu and a lot more which I can not mention here.

Trek to Hachinder Meadows, Hunza

This is how Rakaposhi looks from the top of the mountain, right opposite her! This mountain can be scaled from Nasirabad and Hassanabad however we started the trek from our home in Nasirabad. The meadows at the top are called Hachinder where the cattle and shepherds of Nasirabad spend most of their summer.
