Shimshal pass, Gilgit Baltistan
The village located in Gojal in the Gilgit–Baltistan. It lies at an altitude of 3,100 m above sea level, and is the highest settlement in Hunza Valley of Pakistan. It is the bordering village that connects Gilgit-Baltistan with China.

Before you reach to the destination, you have to face the headache of packing your luggage, making sure all the things are in place, getting on the right transport but they do not always go as expected. Its the test of your psychological strength right at the start of your journey. Like for us, the Journey didn't start as we expected it and we had to face and overcome the unexpected.

Trek to Hachinder Meadows, Hunza

This is how Rakaposhi looks from the top of the mountain, right opposite her! This mountain can be scaled from Nasirabad and Hassanabad however we started the trek from our home in Nasirabad. The meadows at the top are called Hachinder where the cattle and shepherds of Nasirabad spend most of their summer.

Now in Attabad, we woke up early and started packing. We were served with a delightful breakfast by “Mr. Rasul Din” before leaving the camp. We reached at Attabad Lake in the span of one (1) hour. By this time, there was a huge landslide to cross before reaching Attabad Lake. We went up the huge boulders of the land slide to reach the lake. I dragged rather than push- ride up to reach the top of the boulder.
