Natural refrigerator. On Karakoram Highway enroute to Hunza. Multiple food stalls have been built by locals around this water stream called Summar Nallah. The cool breeze from this stream gives a very sooting effect and its water is used as natural refrigerator.
Kalasha valley. Conducted a one day photography workshop with a group of youth from the Kalasha community . They all had a phone camera and i just gave them few tips so that they can take better photos, and probably take photographs that can help them communicate effectively to the outer world since mobile communication is getting pretty evident in the valley. The students were excited to have me there and we posed for a group photograph in the end. The people of Kalash valley do have a great potential to progress.
Ajrak block printing Ajrak is a name given to a unique form of block-printed shawls and tiles found in Sind. These shawls display special designs and patterns made using block printing by stamps. Common colors used while making these patterns are not limited. Over the years, ajraks have become a symbol of the Sindhi culture and traditions.
Hazara Sketch Club Red may run through the lives of Hazaras in Quetta but their children still manage to paint a positive picture. At the Sketch Club in Mariabad, that boasts the oldest Hazara settlement in the eastern half of the city since the late 18th century, parents enroll their children to nurture their artistic talent.
