Qissa Khawani Bazaar in Peshawar
In old times merchants were used to come here, they used to do business at day time and at night. When they sat together around the fire at night, sipping Qahwa they used to tell stories. Thus the bazar got its name "the Bazar of Story Tellers".
It was the site of Qissa Khwani bazaar massacre, when a large crowd of unarmed local protesters was crushed and fired upon by British armoured cars and soldiers.
